Full Moon in Leo Eclipse Forecast- Feb 10th.

Happy Full Moon in Leo :). This full moon is monumental because its not just any ordinary full moon, its an eclipse ! (An eclipse is pretty much a supercharged full/ new moon)

A lunar eclipse happens about 2-3 times in a year and it can only occur on a Full moon. The event that causes a lunar eclipse is actually when the earth comes between the sun and the moon- the earth completely blocks the sun’s rays from reaching the moon’s surface. Lunar eclipses are often less visible to us from earth because the earth itself is casting the shadow . Often the moon appears orange or red from the earth’s perspective.

Solar eclipses are the opposite and occur when the moon comes between the earth and the sun. This is often more visible from earth because the moon’s diameter is smaller than the sun’s diameter from the earths perspective and so we see it as a ring. A solar eclipse can only occur on a new moon.

One key thing to remember is that solar eclipses and lunar eclipses often happen within two weeks of each other. However, lunar eclipses happen on a full moon and represent cosmic endings, culminations and moments of illumination. Often secrets, things that we did not notice before, even our subconscious rises to the surface to be seen. As mentioned above, lunar eclipses are supercharged moons and they may bring with them deep messages of sudden change in relation to these themes.

With this moon being in Leo, we are under the rulership of the Lion sign.
Moon in Leo emotionally manifests as courageous, proud and strong. With a great affinity to the arts theatre and luxury. There is often an attractive leadership quality that draws many romantic and platonic suitors. To feel emotionally secure, those with this position need to feel admired by their partners and their peers otherwise they lose faith in themselves.

Therefore under this Lunar eclipse many of us may feel particularly creative, passionate or even hone in on the best parts of our craft. But also we many fall into the shadow of Leo under this lunar eclipse, – needing to be admired by those around us, causing ‘drama’ in our lives for attention or being overly confident/showy/ splurgy.  (see my post on shadow work for light workers)

One remedy could be adopting an attitude of play (which leo is particularly good at ) or even looking at things from the perspective of role play in the personal theatre of our lives.  Some good questions to ponder include :

What role have you and others been playing in your life ?
How are these roles serving you?
Have you/others outlived a certain role ?
Do you need to take up a different creative role?

“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages.” – William Shakespeare.

What are your reflections this full moon ?
